-Urges support for President Tinubu

Sen. Tokunbo Abiru, the Senator representing Lagos Senatorial District has commended the massive support given to the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Dr Kadiri Obafemi Hamzat, through affirmation of his candidacy by members of the party in Ikorodu.
55, 148 members of APC in Ikorodu Division affirmed Dr Hamzat at the primary election held across the 19 Wards on Thursday.
Sen. Abiru a few days ago enjoyed massive affirmation across the Lagos East Senatorial District when members renewed his ticket to stand for the 2027 General Elections. He described the huge support as an acceptance of Dr. Hamzat’s candidature.
“First of all, I think the process has been very transparent and fair. It is also a strong attestation to the acceptance of our candidate, His Excellency, Dr. Kadiri Hamzat. He came into this contest unopposed, and the turnout of people here today is a clear affirmation that he is widely accepted within the party.
“It shows that he has the full support of the party, and overall, the process has been fair and peaceful,” the Senator said.
Abiru also urged members of APC in Ikorodu, Lagos East and the state at large to also accord President Bola Tinubu massive affirmation on Saturday as the sole Presidential aspirant in the party.
“For the presidential primary, I want to encourage all our members and supporters to come out en masse and support our President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
He said that President Tinubu deserves support to be re -elected because of the achievements of his government in the last three years.
“Yes, he is also entering the contest unopposed, but if you look at everything he has achieved within the short period he has been in office, you will see that he deserves support and encouragement.
“My message to everyone is that we have a very audacious and visionary leader, and everybody should come out massively to support him,” Sen. Abiru appealed.
